Accra commuters welcome new BRT lanes on the Kasoa corridor

Commuters on one of Ghana's busiest roads say travel times have dropped noticeably since dedicated bus rapid transit lanes opened between Kasoa and Accra Central.

Transport officials say the lanes are part of a wider plan to ease congestion across the Greater Accra Region and encourage more people to use public transport.

Trotro drivers have raised concerns about lane enforcement, and the authorities say they will continue talks with transport unions over the coming weeks.
